welcome to my blog...
I write conversationally as if we were chatting over coffee at a quaint out-of-the-way café. I hope you’re not a stickler about typos and grammar. I use a lot of ellipses’ and dashes and CAPS… I’m not sure why, exactly, maybe for dramatic effect, but usually it’s just my normal pauses in thought or because I’m excited about my point.
The sound of crickets may be all that comes of this, but I hope not. I am one in a trillion websites out there, and I am humbled and grateful that you stumbled upon mine. I hope what I write uplifts, encourages, challenges, plants seeds, sparks action or just plain amuses you… My heart is to build up and propel us forward, so we all can be better.
ps: please… comment!
a little about me...
I am passionate about Jesus, my family, my two 4-legged kids, Yeti & Kona, and my dearest friends. I am a textbook introvert. Too many people overwhelm me. I loathe “chit-chatting” and hunger for deeper connection. As a result, smaller more intimate gatherings where quality time can be spent and relationships can be fortified is my sweet spot.
An admin by trade – I’ve worked in sports, Christian music, film/tv, real estate and academia… but long to be self-employed. Quality time with family or friends fills my heart. I love to read. I love a good meal, a good cup of coffee – well mocha, really… and chocolate! I’m from a military family and love my country. Travelled some, but not nearly as much as I’d like. I listen to Christmas music all year… and I love long lazy weekends, just me & my pups… they restore my soul.
I’ve walked with Jesus for 40 years… many valleys & mountain tops… but always in pursuit of being rooted and established in love, that I may somehow grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ…
I realize how much I don’t know… but I am certain that truth, forgiveness, mercy, grace, and love really ARE the foundations of a life well lived.
